MultiPulse - Surgical applications

· Why should I choose a CO2 laser for my activity?

MultiPulse is a universal laser that allows for carrying out ablation treatments of the skin and consequently of treating a wide variety of epidermal and dermal lesions, however it is also a surgical laser that replaces the traditional scalpel in numerous operations with considerable advantages.

· What difference is there compared to the use of the scalpel?
The CO2 laser allows for performing treatments without any bleeding and therefore the physician always has a free operating field. The operation is faster, the post-treatment effects are minimal and the re-epithelisation of the tissues more rapid. In the case of deep ablation there is also a collagen stimulating effect with rejuvenation of the tissues treated.

· What's the difference between CO2 laser and erbium laser?
Thanks to its wavelength of 10,600 nm, the CO2 laser light penetrates the epidermis to a greater depth than the erbium laser and has an increased thermal effect, allowing for deeper skin ablation and consequently longer recovery times. The depth of ablation relationship between one and the other is 1 to 20µm.

· What can I do with the CO2 laser that I can't do with the erbium laser?
Some operations such as rhinophyma or plastic/cosmetic surgery like blepharoplasty, etc are only possible with the CO2 laser. In the former we manage to operate more efficaciously and faster with the help of a scanner, in the latter it is possible to incise the skin and vaporize the tissue extremely quickly and safely.

· Do I need more experience with this one than with other lasers?
A good knowledge of the theoretical and physical principles of laser technology are certainly necessary as it allows for perfect recognition of the color indicators of the skin tissue during the operations and the clinical end-point phase.

· Can I use it (purchase it) in collaboration with other physicians in other disciplines?
This is undoubtedly one of the best choices especially if you don't have the chance of using this laser at 360° on your own. Thanks to the array of accessories and the chance of using MultiPulse in a wide range of disciplines it is the multifunctional laser par excellence for all clinics.
